Our Services

At Adapt for Aging Home Safety Consultants, we offer specialized services designed to enhance the safety and independence of aging residents. We conduct thorough assessments, recommend practical modifications, and provide guidance on equipment to create secure, comfortable living environments tailored to your specific needs.

While Adapt for Aging provides home safety assessments and detailed recommendations, we do not complete the modifications ourselves. You can share our report with your preferred contractor, designer, or remodeler to implement the suggested changes.

Free Phone Consultation

Our complimentary 15-minute phone consultation allows us to discuss your current or potential challenges at home. We’ll identify key areas of concern, such as high-risk zones for falls, and outline your goals for improving safety and comfort as you age-in-place. This consultation is the first step toward a personalized plan that supports your well-being and quality of life.

Home Safety Assessments

At Adapt for Aging, we provide a variety of comprehensive home safety assessments tailored to your unique needs, ensuring a safer and more accessible living environment. Each assessment is designed to identify potential hazards and offer practical solutions to enhance your safety and comfort.

  • Whole Home Assessment: Our comprehensive evaluation identifies hazards and opportunities for improvement throughout your home. We offer customized recommendations, including reasonable structural changes, furniture rearrangements, and safety equipment installations, to ensure your space supports both your independence and comfort.

  • Single-Room Assessment: For focused solutions, our single-room assessments address specific areas like the kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom. We provide practical suggestions—such as improved lighting, handrails, or safety fixtures—tailored to the unique needs of each room to enhance functionality and security.

  • Custom Home Assessment: For homes with non-traditional layouts or unique features, our Custom Home Assessment tackles specific challenges in spaces like basements, studios, ADUs, or multi-level properties. We recommend tailored adjustments that promote safety, adapting the space to fit your living situation and lifestyle.

  • Home Accessibility/ Remodel Upgrade: This service offers detailed recommendations for structural changes and accessibility improvements to create a more functional living space. We provide guidance on working with contractors or remodelers to implement modifications that enhance your home’s safety and usability, ensuring your home supports your evolving needs.

Our goal is to empower you with actionable insights and personalized recommendations that promote safety, independence, and peace of mind in your home.

Follow-Ups

To ensure your satisfaction and support your journey in adapting your home, we provide a follow-up phone call after the assessment process. This call is an opportunity to discuss the progress made with any recommended adaptations, such as installing equipment or implementing structural modifications. We will check in to see how the modifications have impacted your day-to-day life and answer any questions you may have regarding future adaptations.

Additionally, a brief satisfaction survey will be included to gather your feedback and ensure you’re fully supported. This follow-up is designed to offer you continued guidance and reassurance, keeping safety and comfort at the forefront of your home environment.
